Laura Jamieson

Laura is a Partner specialising in employment law, supporting both employers and individuals with pragmatic, straightforward advice.

 

Laura joined DC Employment Solicitors in September 2016 after graduating from University with a First Class Honours degree in Law. She trained with the firm and qualified as a Solicitor in July 2019. Laura was promoted to Partner in April 2026, reflecting her expertise, commitment to client care and significant contribution to the firm's continued success.

 

Laura works closely with a wide range of clients, from commercial, local government and charitable organisations to individuals navigating workplace challenges. She advises on all aspects of employment law, including disciplinary and performance matters, employment documentation (such as contracts and handbooks), settlement agreements, protected conversations, post-termination restrictive covenants and discrimination issues.

 

Laura is known for her friendly and approachable manner and her ability to put clients at ease. She is highly regarded for her efficiency and responsiveness and prides herself on providing clear, practical advice to help clients resolve even the most challenging workplace issues.

 

Alongside her client work, Laura enjoys keeping clients up to date with developments in employment law, regularly sharing insights and updates on key legal changes.

 

Outside of work, Laura enjoys keeping fit, playing netball and spending time with her young family. Much of her free time is currently devoted to keeping up with her energetic toddler, who ensures life outside the office is never dull.
