Employment law can be a daunting area for independent schools and many choose to retain specialist legal or HR support. We are able to offer a seamless support service across both of these areas, working with our specialist HR Consultant.
Policies and Procedures
We are able to provide staff policies and procedures that best suit your school, either as part of a retained service or as a stand-alone retainer. We have devised appraisal and performance management policies and procedures, incorporating the Teachers’ Standards applicable to the maintained and academy sectors, which implement the DfE’s requirement that those schools adopt best practice in this area. We also provide comprehensive guidance to accompany the policies, which can be adapted for the independent sector.
We provide advice on employment and HR issues which is always tailored to provide the best solution for the school and its pupils, whilst ensuring that the rights of staff are respected and minimising the risk of disputes arising. We spell out the risks associated with different options to enable you to assess the most appropriate route to follow.
Our advisory service can be provided as part of an Education Retainer service or as a stand-alone service.
